FAQs

Question

What's the best way to get to Vancouver?

Answer

Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is located just outside the city, ~30 minute drive. For folks driving from Seattle, expect ~3 hour drive (+ additional time for border crossing).

Question

Do I need a car once I'm in Vancouver?

Answer

Having a rental car can be helpful if you want to explore the area during your stay in British Columbia - hiking, Squamish, Whistler, the Southern Gulf Islands, and more. That being said, if you're looking for an alternative to renting a car, UBER and Lyft access is plentiful in Vancouver. You can easily grab a cab at the airport and use ride shares for getting around town. The city is very walkable and also has a bike share program called Mobi. Please note the wedding venue is located ~25 minute drive outside the city center.

Question

Can I bring my kids to the wedding?

Answer

We adore your kiddos! Because our wedding venue space is limited, we kindly ask that the celebration be adults-only. Vancouver is a family-friendly city and if you chose to travel with your kids we recommend checking out www.birdiebreak.com/vancouver-babysitters to arrange local childcare during the wedding ceremony and reception.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Cocktail Attire! Women: cocktail dresses of any length, jumpsuits or dressy separates. Note on shoes: weather permitting, the ceremony will take place in the garden. Men: suit and tie, or suit jacket with dress pants.
