The freshest seafood and a personal favorite of ours, we love to stop here for a late lunch. The shrimp cocktail and pastrami swordfish is on. the. money. They don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait a little (which isn't too bad, considering you can pass the time strolling through upper King).
One of our favorite spots for kayaking and paddle boarding is Shem Creek. You can rent your boat and paddle through the creek, or hop on a tour to one of the nearby islands. Plenty of wildlife and amazing views of the Charleston Harbor and Cooper River Bridge. Dolphins are often hanging here!
An amazing dinner spot where Charleston's top chefs "play" on their nights off. The menu changes daily; be sure to make reservations!
Our favorite candles -- we always have at least five of these in our house at all times. They have wonderful candlemaking workshops, if you're looking for a fun outing!
Late night (or anytime) biscuits. Don't forget the pimento cheese!
Our favorite hidden spot in Mt. Pleasant, it's a peninsula made into a park. Perfect for taking in the sunset over Charleston, or the sunrise over Sullivan's Island.
Get the okonomiyaki (with all the fixin's) and thank us later.
Charleston has some wonderful beaches, if the ocean is calling your name. We recommend Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms and Folly Beach (in that order). Before you go, know that public bathrooms can be challenging to find on Sully's!
