This hike is in the next town over, about 3 miles out & back. You'll hike up to a great view of the gorge and then back down. If you make it to the lookout spot, you'll see the exact location where Riley proposed to Sarah :')
The main street through downtown Hood River has some very cute shops - we recommend doing a walk through town. You'll find a cute bookstore, some great outdoor stores, and a ton of local shops with art & clothing. (And lots of good coffee.)
About halfway between Hood River & Portland, this famous waterfall is one of the most popular attractions in the state. Park in the lot & walk over for a quick look, or take a hike on one of the trails accessible from the base. May get crowded.
A must-do. Go sit in the grass or stroll the waterfront pathway and enjoy the breath-taking views. You may get to experience the iconic Hood River wind while you're there.
Drive up to a beautiful lookout of the valley and Mount Hood.
Hood River is known for its wineries - the "Fruit Loop" is a well-known route that connects visitors to wineries & fruit picking. Some of our favorite wineries in town are Stave & Stone and Cathedral Ridge. May be worth grabbing a tasting reservation ahead of time.
Cute & cozy diner in town, our favorite spot for breakfast.
Delicious Scandinavian breakfast spot right downtown. Great spot to fuel up before some shopping.
A local favorite - try to snag one of their famous cinnamon rolls!
Not just for coffee! Grab a drink or some food and try to snag a spot on their outdoor patio.
Award-winning beer! Need we say more?
Great food, outdoor area with fire pits overlooking the river - our favorite spot in town!
Come for a flight of cider, some lunch, or to pick some in-season fruit right off the vine. Fun fact: this is located across the street from our venue!
