Kevin Omoumi
Groom
Kevin grew up in the small town of Cookeville, TN where he found a love for riding bicycles at a young age and has never stopped and never plans to! Kevin exceeded expectations in life and accomplished many wonderful undertakings such as Perfect Attendance from Kindergarten all the way through his Senior year, Eagle Scout by the very young age of 15, and Valedictorian of his class. His accomplishments did not waiver once he left Cookeville to take on his studies at The University of Tennessee. Kevin graduated as a distinguished Summa Cum Laude with his Electrical Engineer Degree, and persevered through to earn his Masters in Electrical Engineering. He has an 11 year tenure with a local engineering company where he enjoys the analog side of life for both electrical, and mechanical - a hybrid of an employee and extremely invaluable to them.
Sarah Paulk
Bride
Sarah grew up exactly 412.7 miles from Kevin, in the small town of Nashville, GA. She, too, enjoyed bicycling all over the subdivisions she lived nearby. Sarah grew up in her local gymnastics gymnasium and built her life around all things gymnastics, which slowly segued her into cheerleading for her middle-school and high-school teams. Sarah knew at a young age she wanted to be out of the small town atmosphere, and moved out a week after she graduated high school. She partook in a few years of college courses, but never found interest in any of her studies. She enjoyed bringing her son, Braden, into the world at a younger age, and focused all of her attention on him up until she met Kevin, where they both enjoy raising Braden together as a team.
Braden Paulk
Son of the Bride
Braden is Kevin and Sarah's teenage son. He is a soon-to-be Sophomore at Hardin Valley Academy. He goes by "B-man" to us. B-man enjoys learning about Science and likes History, he will be focusing his direction down the Business Law courses that his high-school offers. He likes to spend his free time skateboarding, playing his PlayStation 5, listening to music, and cooking. Braden gave Kevin his blessing to marry his mother, and helped pick out her engagement ring!
Jo Wilson Shackelford
Mother of the Bride
Jo, or as we lovingly nicknamed her JoMama, is an East Tennessee native. She grew up in Oak Ridge at the height of the Atomic Bomb being built at Y12 where my Grandpa was employed. She later graduated from The University of Tennessee where she met Sarah's father. She gave 30 years of her life to some very special children who were deaf and/or hard of hearing.
Steve Shackelford
Step-Father of the Bride
Steve is a wonderful husband Sarah’s mother. They were Highschool Sweethearts long ago, and rekindled their relationship when Jo, Sarah, and Braden moved up to Knoxville 10 years ago. Steve shares in Jo's love for the Smokies and all things hiking. They will hike anything with an incline! They love going on trips and attending concerts. Their relationship inspired Sarah to never settle for anything less - and that is why she knew Kevin was the one for her when they met.
Mark Wilson
Father of the Bride
Mark is Sarah's loving father and the husband to her late Step Mother, Suzanne Wilson. Some say Sarah is Mark's twin. Mark was born and raised in Jackson, TN. He met Sarah's Mother at UT in Knoxville where the two married and raised their children in South Georgia close to his Air Force base. Mark enjoys fishing and does so at any and every opportunity. He is a retired Veteran who served in the US Air Force from 1978-1994. He is a proud "Pop Pop" to 4 grandsons; Braden, John Patton Williams III, Benjamin Wilson, and Fitz.
Teri Omoumi
Mother of the Groom
Teri, aka “Mimi”, is a blue-eyed Christian beauty from Kentucky who Kevin happens to call “Mom”. She moved to Nashville, TN when she was 6 years old. As a young lady, she enjoyed playing softball for 15+ years, cheered, and ran track for her middle school. When she enrolled at Henderson High-school, she focused solely on playing the clarinet in their band all 4 years, securing her spot as 2nd chair her senior year. Fast forward many years later to when she met Kevin’s father, Mike, in Nashville as well. Teri has spent decades building their family businesses and recently took on keeping her granddaughter, Haylee, when she isn’t in school.
Mike Omoumi

Mike was born and raised in Tehran, Iran and Esfahan, Iran. Once he completed high-school, Mike moved to Europe to begin his college courses, and graduated from Tennessee State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He met and married Teri in Nashville, and raised their children in Cookeville, TN. Mike is very much involved 24/7 with their Sparta Heating and Air Conditioning business that recently just turned 30 years old! He is a proud Grandpa to 2 grand boys and 1 grand girl.
Haylee Mathis
Flower Girl
Haylee is Kevin's little niece who loves all things Barbie and Unicorns! She just had her 5th birthday! Haylee is an avid dress-wearer and enjoys coloring pictures for her family and friends. She is an up and coming Kindergartener this Fall who happens to be currently kicking cancer's bootayyy! Haylee has a gentle heart and tough spirit!
Benjamin Wilson
Ring Bearer
Benjamin, or "Benny", is Sarah's little nephew. Ben just celebrated his 6th birthday, and was recently given The Highest Reader Award in his Kindergarten class. Benny loves to play Roblox on his tablet, watches Youtube videos, and helps make the grocery list so his beloved Cake Pops make it on there. He can name all 197 country flags and is reading on a 3rd grade level!
Sherissa Nakamura
Matron of Honor
Sherissa, Sheri for short, has quickly become one of Sarah's most cherished friends. She and Sarah met at a weekly dinner Kevin has been a part of for several years. Sheri has been a best friend to Sarah since day 1. They enjoy their weekly dinners, their every 3 months nail appointment, and the Saturdays spent playing board and card games!
Nikki Alexander
Bridesmaid
Nikki is the wife of our Groomsman, Brad, and was Kevin's friend before Sarah came into the picture. Once the 2 met they've enjoyed their friendship that has grown stronger throughout the years. Nikki, Sheri, and Sarah are always looking for the opportunity to throw a party and have some fun!
Tiffany Mathis
Bridesmaid
Tiffany is Kevin’s older sister. She lives in Baxter and the wife of Chris. Together they have a boy, Kristian, and a girl, Haylee. Tiffany works for her father at Sparta Heating and Air. She also just opened Yert Nutrition where they make nutritious shakes and teas!
Phylis Hudson
Grandmother of the Groom
Phylis is Kevin's Grandma but has never once made Sarah feel like she wasn't her grandchild as well. She lives in Goodlettsville, TN and enjoys shopping, worshipping, and spending time with her 2 children & their spouses, her 4 grandkids, and 8 great-grands! She has a most wonderful heart and a gracious spirit. We love playing cards with her and taking trips to the beach with her and all the family!
Doris Brady
Grandmother of the Bride
Doris, also known as "Munner Munner" to her 10 grandchildren and her 8 great grands, is Sarah's Grandmother. She is unable to be in attendance today due to the traveling and her health. Rest assured as she's being zoom called for the Ceremony!
Steve Wilson

Steve is Sarah older brother. He lives in Hiram, GA & is married to Jennifer. Together they have 3 sons; Jordan, Carter, and Benjamin (Benny). Steve is a small business owner and Jennifer is an Administrator with the local school system.
Brad Alexander
Groomsman
Brad and Kevin met 11 years ago at TEC, where they both still work at to this day. They share a love for mountain biking and have similar humor that propelled their friendship outside of the office. Brad is married to Nikki who will be standing on the Bridesmaid side with Sarah. Brad and Nikki have two wonderful daughters, Nya and Tyahna.
Jake Smith
Best Man
Despite attending the same university (UT) and having much of the same classes together, it took game night years after graduation to bring these two together. Even though they live a state apart, Jake and Kevin make it a point to get outta town for a ski trip, or mountain biking excursion at least once a year. Together, Jake and Nicole have a handsome son, Nate, who just turned 2 and a sweet baby girl on her way!
