We met on that fateful day where our beloved Tennessee Vols had succumbed to a SCAR victory, 15-9. Sarah had been at work in downtown Knoxville and was ready for a $10 hotdog and a cold brew to put the work day away and begin her weekend. Kevin had been with Aaron all day enjoying the campus festivities and enduring the UT loss live. Sarah sat down beside Kevin where he proceeded to be the best hotdog salesman she'd ever met. They enjoyed light conversation and Sarah left without ever knowing if she'd see Kevin again. *Instagram enters the chat* Kevin was kicking himself for not getting her number so he went on Instagram and searched "Sarahjean" which brought up her old "SarahJeaner" handle, and asked her out for a date. Sarah saw this 4 days later, and just when Kevin thought he lost the chance, Sarah responded quickly that she'd love a date with him. The 2 went to dinner, and have been in each other's lives ever since.

The day Kevin proposed to Sarah was on her 35th birthday. He told Sarah he was going to spend the day surprising her, and surprised her he did! They first went to the little local Taqueria where they had their first date and ate brunch. Next up Kevin had made reservations for a couples massage just down the road in downtown Knoxville. Lastly, they rendezvoused where they first met, at Curious Dog. The entire time they were gone from their home, Kevin had formulated a surprise proposal and birthday party for Sarah. His family and mine were working quickly to set everything up for when we got back home. Kevin blindfolded Sarah when they got on the road for the last surprise and Sarah thought they were out near The Knoxville Zoo in East Knoxville, when in fact they were in the opposite direction - at their home in West Knoxville. Kevin helped Sarah get out of his vehicle and walked her into their backyard while his sister, Tiff, played music and videorecorder the event. Kevin placed Sarah under a wood awning decorated in tulle with marquee letters behind them that spelled out "MARRY ME"! Kevin unblindfolded Sarah, got down on one knee and said the sweetest things to ask her to be his wife. SARAH SAID YES! Their whole family cheered which shocked Sarah as she didn't know they were there! They spent the rest of the day together as family that will be joined by their wedding in September 2022!
