What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is formal attire with a fall twist! Feel free to wear any fall colors EXCEPT for brown, orange, and cream (that is reserved for the bridal party and the groom). Some of our favorite fall colors include any shade of dark red, plum, yellow, olive green, deep blues, or lighter greys. If you have any questions regarding this, please email our amazing wedding coordinator, Nina Cardenas whose contact information can be found below.

Answer

Our ceremony is at Second Presbyterian Church. The available parking will be street-level parking. The reception at Valley Country Club will have extensive parking in the parking lot.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Yes! You can find that information for our room block in the "Travel" tab of our site. Please make sure to book your suite by September 17th, 2025.

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Answer

In Baltimore, October typically offers mild and pleasant fall weather with average temperatures ranging from the mid-50s to the mid-70s. You can expect cool mornings and evenings, with warmer afternoons. However, Baltimore weather is notably temperamental, so be prepared for anything!

Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?

Answer

While we would love to celebrate with you and your loved ones, we unfortunately have to be particularly selective with our guest count, bearing wedding costs in mind. If you have any additional questions please reach out to our amazing wedding coordinator, Nina Cardenas.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence is the greatest gift we can ask for. If you feel so inclined to send us a gift, please send it to 4017 Walrad St, Baltimore, MD 21229. Additionally, we are excited to include various cash fund gift options on our registry, if you do not wish to send a physical gift!

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 1:45pm. The doors will be closed at 1:50pm as the ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00pm

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

The reception will end at 9:00pm. At this time there is not an official after-party, but anything is possible (wink-wink).

Are you having an indoor or outdoor wedding?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will be primarily indoors.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

There is roughly a 1.5 hour gap between the ceremony and reception. Feel free to do whatever you please but be mindful that we have an exquisite reception meal planned for you! Come hungry!

What are your honeymoon plans?

Answer

We are so glad you asked! We will be spending 10 incredible days in Bordeaux and Paris. It will be Josiah's first international trip by plane, and Pauline's first trip to Europe. One of the things we look forward to doing the most as a couple is traveling. Hopefully, our honeymoon will be the first of many trips!

Are there any cultural traditions or best practices guests should be aware of?

Answer

Great question! Here are a couple of traditions we will be taking part in during our ceremony: communion, prayer (led by our officiant), and jumping the broom.
