We met at the dining hall on campus during our first semester of college. Funnily enough, during our second semester our schedules were practically identical, so we always ended up seeing each other. We quickly formed a tightknit bond over lunch, playing Connect Four and eating cheesecake. Soon we shared everything, fears, hopes, dreams and we became each other's closest confidantes. However, we were incredibly stubborn and resisted viewing each other romantically because we did not want to risk losing our friendship. By the end of freshman year we finally admitted our feelings for one another. Given that we had the same friend group, we took several months to ensure that our feelings were genuine before finally dating our second semester sophomore year.
