We encourage you to explore the island during your stay! Below we have added some of the places we visited in April 2024. St. John is a quick 20-minute ferry ride from St. Thomas, so we also added recommendations from there as well. Many listed below don't have numbered addresses. We’ve tried our best to provide you with the most accurate addresses!
Sapphire Beach
Havensight Mall
Good for shopping & eating. Located in downtown Charlotte Amalie.
Paradise Point Lookout
On clear days you can see all the way to Puerto Rice and St. Croix from this viewpoint! An open-air restaurant is also located next to the viewing bridge. You can drive to this location or take the Skyride to the top. Think of the Skyride as St. Thomas’ equivalent to the Duquesne Incline! https://www.paradisepointvi.com
Mountain Top
Fantastic, panoramic views 1,500 ft above Magens Bay. You can easily see over 15 islands and cays. Attached to the observation deck is the largest duty-free gift shop in the Caribbean! Also home to the world-famous banana daiquiri.
Red Hook Ferry
Take to St. John for additional scenic views and shopping. There is a car ferry and a walk-on ferry. Please refer to the ferry schedule on the website below. All ferries are first come first served. https://stjohnticketing.com
Charlotte Amalie Ferry
Take to St. John for additional scenic views and shopping. The Charlotte Amalie Ferry stops earlier in the day than the Red Hook Ferry. Please refer to the schedule on their website! https://stjohnticketing.com

Hawksnest Beach
Our favorite beach on St. John! This beach offers extremely clear water, great snorkeling, soft sand, shade under large foliage, and gentle waves.

5-minute hike from the parking lot to this spectacular viewpoint.
Cyril E. King Airport
The airport is still under construction because of two hurricanes (Irma and Maria). Locals suggest arriving at the airport at least two hours before your flight because of the increased security wait times. Also, to return to the States side, you have to go through customs. You do not need your passport to get through customs. A valid license is enough.
Mongoose Junction
Cute mall with lots of food and shopping locations. Highly recommend the Tap Room for great food and drinks!
