It all began when Paul was handed a caipi. The beautiful Argentinian Princess, Tatiana, said "try it, I promise you'll like it", and he sure did. Who doesn't like a vodka with lime and about 3 table spoons of sugar? Both intrigued but timid, the first time they met wasn't the romantic love story from the movies but that would all change a few years later at Joaquin’s wedding. It was on the tropical Hawaiian beaches of Maui that Paul developed a very bad case of "ojos de enamorado.” They exchanged friendly smiles, many laughs, late night chats, and a newfound amazement. Was Paul really falling for his friends little sister? Was Tatiana really giddy over her brother’s friend? They left the trip with the excitement of the unknown and couldn’t wait to reconnect. Back in Santa Barbara, they didn’t waste time. Step one was for Paul to clear things with Joaquin to which he replied: "better you than some random guy I don't know.” He passed. Green light. Paul made the next move — Tatiana obliged — and it’s been full speed ever since. Their relationship was tested early on during COVID when they were forced to spend every waking minute together in a one bedroom apartment with two dogs. It was during this time they fortified their relationship together and came out with only a few minor cuts and bruises. Since then they have traveled, integrated their two families, survived a home remodel, and happily lived their best lives together in Santa Barbara. The culmination of their relationship was getting engaged in Uruguay - a home and special place for the Mallmann family. They knew then that there was no other way they wanted to celebrate their marriage: with their closest family and friends together in Jose Ignacio. We love you and cannot wait to see you there!
