The Haldi (Turmeric) ceremony is a traditional pre-wedding ritual in which a mixture of turmeric, sandalwood, and other ingredients is applied to the bride and groom in order to cleanse and purify before the wedding ceremony, and as a symbol of good luck and blessings. Additionally, it symbolizes the happy start of a new life together. UBER/LYFT: Recommended option PARKING: Metered parking is available on Kalakaua Ave along Kapiolani Park (these can get busy on weekends). More public parking is available at the Waikiki Shell Lot on 2801 Monsarrat Ave. WALKING: 13 mins fron Alohilani, 8 mins from Twin Fin, 11 mins from Hyatt Place

“Sangeet “ means music in Hindi, and also describes a musical evening during an Indian wedding which celebrates the union of not only the couple, but the bonding of both families. It is a night of fun, games and dancing to bring together the families, and the guests, and to celebrate the special couple. Please join us for our wedding ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour and reception. This is an outdoor event, so bring the glam but make sure that you are also comfortable. The Bride kindly requests that you please avoid shades of light purple/lilac/lavender. TRANSPORTATION: Bus pick up and drop off will be provided by Royal Star Hawaii Shuttle from the Alohilani hotel and Twin Fin hotel at 1:30 PM DIRECTIONS/PARKING: When you turn into the Ranch Parking Lot, KEEP LEFT at the fork. Continue driving through the parking lot up the hill. Follow this road to the top of the hill, over the horse crossing, then veer up the right hand side to the labelled "Guest Parking" areas. You may park in any labelled grassy lot. Walk to the green covered pavillion to join the festivities. UBER/LYFT: You can take uber or lyft to the ranch, however it is difficult to find a ride later in the evening/night at this part of the island.
