Since this is a very small, family-only destination wedding, we are flexible on the RSVPs. For your sake as you will need to make plans for international travel and time off of work, we would recommend RSVP by September 15.
With the vaccine rollout ramping up and many of you already fully vaccinated, we are much more confident about plans for November. We urge you to do the same with practicing social distancing, wearing a mask in public places, and making smart decisions about where you go and who you are surrounded by. Our villa is fully refundable up to 60 days prior to our check-in. If you run into any issues or suspect you will not be able to travel, please consider this timeline and let us know quickly.
If the CDC is still requiring negative COVID tests prior to landing in the US, our wedding planner will coordinate having on-site testing at our villa before we leave. We're feeling confident that this requirement may be less restrictive by the time of our trip but regardless, our wedding planner has previously planned for on-site testing for other clients and is prepared for this. Further, our whole group is either already fully vaccinated or scheduled to complete vaccinations very soon, which is great! In the unlikely chance that any of us test positive while in Puerto Vallarta, we will work together to find accommodations for quarantining before retesting and departing. Many of the resorts and hotels are offering discounted stays for travelers who need to stay behind and test negative after a positive test. By staying at our own private villa, we'll be greatly reducing interactions with other travelers in the Puerto Vallarta area.
Be sure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months after planned arrival to avoid any potential issues with immigration authorities.
If we were you, we would wear: - Men: suits of light, breathable material, button-up shirt, dress slacks. - Women: light, flowy dresses with dressy sandals. Save your ankles from the high heeled shoes - they will be useless here.
