Yes, we met at work. Yes, we're a software developer/product manager dream team combination. It's a match made in Seattle tech heaven. The long story short is that we met while working at Amazon when Michelle was volun-told to join Paul's team in 2015 as the new product manager, first arriving abruptly at the start of a sprint planning meeting when Paul asked, "who are you?" and Michelle introduced herself, wondering what the hell she was in for on this new job. A few months later, the two became friends, bonding over beers late in the workday when Milo would jump onto Paul's lap, lick his face, thus giving Michelle a signal that he happily approved of Paul. Since officially becoming a couple in early 2016, the duo (plus Milo) moved on from that team in Amazon to new jobs, a new townhome in Ballard, and travels around the US and internationally with many forehead selfies. Conversations about marriage sparked more seriously during their trip to Puerto Vallarta in February 2019. It was here where it was determined that sharing a double-kayak would be a rare occasion but the idea of sharing life together would be the ultimate long term adventure. Officially on June 20, 2020, over morning coffee and chocolate chip banana bread, Paul placed a beautiful deep blue sapphire on Michelle's hand in engagement.
