Question

Will Google Maps, Maps, Apple Navigation, Waze, or other GPS directions work?

Answer

NO! Take it from Katelynn: GPS will NOT work! Both Google Maps and Waze directed Katelynn and Paul into someone's yard the first time they visited (and that was the long way around). Follow the instructions on TihsreeD's "Contact Us" page (https://sites.google.com/site/tihsreed/contact-us?authuser=0), which are also listed below for your convenience: Driving Directions: - Highway 24 West to Florissant - Turn Right onto County Road 31 (the "main" intersection in Florissant) - Follow County Road 31 for about 1/2 mile - Turn Right onto County Road 3 (also known as Wildhorn) - Stay on County Road 3 for a little over 2 miles. - Turn Right onto Arapahoe Creek (This is a gravel road and there will be a mail box cluster on your left.) - Arapahoe Creek will lead into Pathfinder Rd. Take Pathfinder Road. - TihsreeD will be about 1/2 mile down - Third driveway on the left (with TihsreeD sign). - Come all the way up the drive.

Question

Is there Wi-Fi at TihsreeD?

Answer

There is no Wi-Fi and cell signal can be hit and miss; Verizon does seem to do decently well in some spots. We picked this place for several reasons, one of which is that we want you all to relax and have fun. We hope that being able to disconnect from the technological world will help in this.

Question

Landline Phones at the Cabin/Lodge

Answer

Should anyone need to get ahold of you, or vice versa, there is a landline at each The Lodge (719-748-1143) and The Cabin (719-748-6025). They both have unlimited long distance to anywhere in the continental US. Feel free to make as many calls to anywhere in the continental US as you care to. Be sure emergency contacts, business owner contacts, house sitters, pet sitters and baby sitters have these numbers so everyone can stay in touch as necessary.

Question

Local Medical Information

Answer

Local hospital is Pike's Peak Regional Hospital. Pharmacies include Walgreens, Walmart; City Market and Safeway are in Woodland Park.

Question

Do I need to bring kitchenware or other groceries?

Answer

TihsreeD has a crockpot, toaster, mixer, coffee maker, and other cookware and bakeware. There are some coffee filters, salt & pepper, flour, and sugar available. Katelynn and Paul will provide the main meals of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as some basic drinks. Aside from that, feel free to bring whatever you'd like to snack on and drink while you're here: Woodland Park has a Safeway, Walmart, and City Market. For drinks, Log Cabin Liquor is in Florissant, LaGree's Liquors are in Divide, and Gold Hills Wine & Liquor is near the City Market in Woodland Park

Question

Do I need to brink my own soap, shampoo, detergent, etc.?

Answer

Not necessarily. Tihsreed has soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, lotion, salt, pepper, paper towels, tissue, and extra blankets on hand. If you have special conditions or a favorite that you like to use, please feel free to bring your own, but please keep in mind that we do have these items on hand as well.

Question

What's the deal with water?

Answer

Water is very important in high altitude areas, especially if you are not used to higher altitudes. DRINK WATER. DRINK LOTS. But also, please respect the environment: we will not be providing bottled water, BUT there is plenty of fresh, Colorado spring water from the faucets (yes, you read that right: the water from the sink will be delicious, trust us). So please: bring your favorite water bottle along and drink to your heart's content!
