We would like to request semi-formal/cocktail attire. No jeans please! Flats or wedges are encouraged for the ladies, we'd love for your feet to be comfortable so you can dance the night away and keep you safe on uneven terrain around our venue. But we want you to be comfortable so if your shoes are too high or that top button is too tight feel free to hang loose.
We are planning on having our ceremony outside. Additionally, we are planning on having a bonfire (barring no fire restrictions) in a large fire pit that is a short walk through the woods from the reception venue.
Colorado Springs is considered an alpine desert. Additionally, our venue is tucked into Black Forest, and while there is a meadow, please dress in and/or bring layers. If it's nice, it could be in the mid-60s to low-70s during the day and as low as the 30s at night. It could also be snowing. It's best to be prepared for a range of weather.
If your invitation says "and family" then please feel free to bring your kiddos. However, if you prefer to have a kid free evening that's totally okay too. The choice is yours! It should be noted that our venue does not provide high chairs or booster seats, so if you're little one is not quite big enough to sit in an adult chair at a table, please plan accordingly. We are planning on having special snacks and drinks for the kids during the cocktail hour and reception. If however, you child is an especially picky eater you may wish to bring food/drink that your kiddo enjoys.
If your invitation says "and Guest" then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.
Yes! Please check out the Travel page for all the info you need.
We're planning our meal to accommodate both vegetarian and gluten free dietary needs. If you have additional dietary restrictions, you may email/text/call/snailmail us and we'll do our best to make accommodations. Unfortunately, we can not guarantee that we can meet all needs, so please feel free to bring snacks/meal with you if you have needs beyond those listed above.
Colorado Springs sits at 6,035 feet, or over a mile, above sea level. Altitude may impact those of you traveling from lower elevations. Altitude sickness is a real thing and should be taken seriously. Symptoms of altitude sickness include, but are not limited to, headache, nausea, shortness of breath, fatigue, and loss of appetite. We suggest taking it easy your first day/evening here, drinking plenty of fluids, and eating foods high in carbohydrates. If you plan to partake in libations during your stay, please be aware that if you come from lower elevations, you may get tipsy faster and/or more easily, so please drink responsibly.
