Villa Laetitia is in the Prati neighbourhood of Rome, just north of the Vatican and Trastevere, and across the river from Piazza del Popolo and the Centro Storico.

If you want to book elsewhere, you have a ton of options. The neighbourhoods of Prati and Parioli are upmarket and a little quieter while Trastevere (above) and Centro Storico are a little further but more central and have more action.
We live in Testaccio, which is the most southerly neighbourhood within the walls, and not far from the Colosseum/Circo Massimo. Great restaurants and very walkable, though a cab ride from Villa Laetitia, which is in the north.
Rome is not very big so anywhere within the walls will be easy to get to in a taxi. Romans mostly use FreeNow to book cabs.
Also note that this year Rome celebrates the Giubileo, so hotel rooms may become a little scarcer than normal, so our advice is to book early.
