We met in 2020 while social distancing was still the norm. Both of us decided to take same class, a discussion-based seminar, in the fall of 2020 as it was one of the only classes offered in person. We sat next to each other on the first day of class and immediately clicked. After sitting next to each other every class and walking each other home after class, we went on our first date not knowing what the other looked like under the masks. Our first date kayaking on Lake Claire led to us sitting in the middle of the water with our kayaks butted against each other, spending the rest of the daylight hours talking until the lake closed. We quickly became inseparable and spent every second we could through our college years together. With the end of college came the start of long distance; despite this, nothing could keep us apart - from flights to driving to see each other every weekend to moving in together. We have spend many hours driving, flying, and calling between FL, NC, NY, and VA, spending thousands of miles and minutes to be with each other again, and every minute and mile was well spent. Our long distance ended in Northern Virginia, and we are so excited to host one of the most important days of our lives in the place that finally brought us together.
