Why an elopement?

Answer

After much thought, we decided to forego a traditional wedding and exchange our vows in an intimate ceremony far away from our normal lives and devote this special time to each other. We love our family and friends and want to celebrate with them as well, so we are hosting more casual party after the fact!

When are we actually getting married?

We are having an intimate ceremony in the Borders region of Scotland at a castle in May 2025!

What is a Happily Ever After Party?

Answer

We wanted an opportunity to celebrate with all of our friends and family and thank everyone for their support. We are doing without the first dances, toasts, or bouquet tosses and looking forward to enjoying everyone’s company over drinks and yummy food. Instead of being traditional, we embraced the corny instead, and labeled the post-elopement reception as the Happily Ever After Party.
