Tyler and Patty matched on a dating app after many years of swiping for Patty and two months of swiping for Tyler (someone had luck on their side!). On December 4, 2024, they met at Pasta da Pulcinella in Midtown for their first date. Patty remembers telling the hostess it was a first date and she wasn’t expecting much. The hostess replied, “Well it only takes one date to find the one, maybe this is it.” At dinner, the conversation was easy and the night ended with Patty giving the hostess a thumbs up. A few days later, Tyler invited Patty to FernBank’s After Dark Experience. The two bonded over their mutual nerdiness and started learning more about each other’s lives through deep conversation while surrounded by dinosaurs. The next week, Tyler made Patty’s dream of trying axe throwing come true! Luckily, no one was hurt and the pair ended the night with tacos and cocktails in Inman Park. The next day, Tyler and Patty deleted the dating apps and have been wildly in love ever since.
