Laura is Patty’s younger sister. She’s been there though it all (well almost, she missed the first five years). Laura and Patty spend a lot of time together, both living in Richmond and both working at VCU Health. Patty is thrilled to have Laura by her side for her big day!

Claire is Patty’s sister-in-law. She married Patty’s little brother (well he’s not so little anymore) in October 2018 in India. This was the trip and experience of a lifetime for Patty and Phil. Phil proved he was a keeper during this trip- two weeks of nonstop Roberts family time! Over the past seven years Claire has proved that she can hang with the Roberts family as well. Patty could not have picked a better wife for her little brother and is honored to have Claire stand by her side on her special day!
Leigh Watts

Leigh is Patty’s longest friendship. They have been friends for 29 year, first meeting in Ms. Vallies second grade class. Patty has countless memories of time spent with Leigh including MANY days on the tennis court as they grew up playing tennis together from the time they met all the way through high school. Leigh is an incredibly loyal and kind friend and despite living in different cities for years, every time Patty and Leigh hang out it is like no time has passed at all. Leigh lives outside if Greensboro, NC with her husband, adorable son and daughter with another son on the way! Patty was a bridesmaid in Leigh’s wedding in September 2008.
Lisa Smith

Lisa was one of the first people Patty met in college at Washington and Lee. Patty still remembers how bubbly and friendly Lisa was when they first met. Little did they know that they would become incredibly good friends and college roommates. Lisa and Patty shared countless memories on the tennis court at Washington and Lee, during Kappa Alpha Theta sorority outings, living in Washington DC after college, and Lisa spearheaded an epic 30th birthday celebration for Patty. Lisa lives in Gulfport, Mississippi with her husband and their new(ish) baby boy. Patty was a bridesmaid in Lisa’s Wedding in March of 2017.
Meg Thomas

Meg and Patty met 13 years ago in Washington DC. They were both first grade teachers for Teach for America and bonded over many lesson plans, behavior stories, and much needed happy hours! Despite living in different cities for the last ten years, Meg has remained one of Patty’s closest friends. Meg is always a comforting phone call away. Meg lives in San Francisco, CA with her husband and their one year old son. Patty was a bridesmaid in Meg’s wedding in September 2017. Fun fact: one of Patty’s Match.com photos that caught Phil’s attention was from Meg’s wedding!
Rebecca Russell

Patty met Becca during her junior year at Washington and Lee. Becca was a freshman on the tennis team with Patty. Becca helped Patty stay young in college with many fun days and nights throughout their two overlapping years. Patty and Becca have stayed close over the years and were fortunate to both live in NYC at the same time where the fun times continued. Becca is a very thoughtful and devoted friend. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and their two adorable children. Patty was a bridesmaid in Becca’s wedding in April of 2015.

Tom “Tommy” is Patty’s younger brother. Phil and Tommy first met at Tommy and his now wife’s engagement party. Tommy was quick to approve of Phil, calling us soon after the engagement party to invite Phil to his wedding in India!! Phil and Tommy partied the nights away in Udaipur, India, celebrating Tommy and Claire. They are looking forward to partying the night away again in October, this time to celebrate us!! Tommy lives in Boston with his wife, Claire, and their bun in the oven!
Isaac Brear

Isaacs wife gets credit for this friendship! Isaac and Phil became friends because Isaacs wife chose Phil as a friend on a beer app. Clearly she has good taste in friends because Phil and Isaac have become quite good friends over the years. Phil and Isaac first bonded over beer (if you couldn’t tell from the photo!) however their friendship has evolved throughout the years to cheering for UVA, eating chicken wings, and many other things. Isaac lives in Richmond with his wife and their 8-month old son.

Go Rams! 🏀 Phil and Doug first met through a mutual friend and have been going to VCU basketball games together for many years. Their most recent VCU basketball experience at the A10 tournament is one for the books... COVID party fail. Doug lives in Richmond with his wife and their two daughters.
