Halls Chophouse
If you are coming to Charleston for the first time and want a quintessential dining experience, look no further than Hall's chophouse. Whether we are celebrating a special occasion, or casually dining out, Hall's is our go-to and local spot. Warning: their martini's are strong! Also, get the wedge and thank us later. P’s Favorites: Chopin Martini straight up, extra bruised and with blue cheese olives, Oysters Rockefeller, Simple Greens, the Bison nachos & all the sides G’s Favorites: Glass of Cab or Sancerre, Wedge Salad, 5oz Japanese Waygu, Bison Nachos, & all the sides. PS - if you can't make it to Hall's for dinner while visiting, don't stress. We will be hosting our welcome party at their event space and will have plenty of light bites and cocktails to give you a taste! But, if you are in town for a couple days and leaving late Sunday, we encourage you to try and get a brunch reservation for their Sunday Gospel Brunch!
167 Raw Oyster Bar
One of our favorite spots in the heart of Charleston is this New England eatery with some of the city's best oysters, lobster rolls & fish tacos. Their spicy, skinny margaritas and rosé selection are pretty great, too! P’s Favorites: Spicy Skinny Marg, Oven Roasted Oysters, Daily Caviar, Tuna Tataki, Daily Ceviche & Lobster Tostada G’s Favorites: Classic Margarita, Chips & Guac, Daily Oysters, 10 Hour Pork Carnitas Taco & ¡Bomba! Potatoes Pro-tip: 167 does not take reservations and depending on the time/date, the wait can be pretty long. We recommend putting your name in then going and getting a cocktail/cheese plate around the corner at Bistro A Vin *167 has also recently opened a Sushi Bar that has some of our favorite sushi in the city! They do take reservations if you'd like to be able to guarantee a table
Husk
Southern comfort meets low-country charm in another Charleston classic restaurant. One of the reasons we love this place so much is the chef has an ever changing menu of locally sourced Southern dishes served in a restored Victorian-era home. Husk is every bit of delicious as it is beautiful. P & G's Favorites: Slow Smoked Pork Ribs, Southern Artisanal Cheese Plate, Cornbread & NC Chicken
Melfi's
Melfi's is an Italian classic with a New York City feel. Home of the famous Stretch Armstrong Pizza, this is a spot you do not want to miss out on while you are visiting. Plus, any menu that has a drink named "Charleston's Coldest Martini" is a must in our book! P’s Favorites: Coldest Martini in Charleston, Sort-of-Spicy Caesar, Branzino, Stretch Armstrong & Mr. Wally G’s Favorites: “Everything. Literally everything”
The Ordinary
One of the best seafood oyster hall's is located at The Ordinary, a 1920s bank now an upscale seafood restaurant with some of the best seafood here. P&G's Favorites: Skinny Marg, Seafood Tower, Crispy Oyster Slider (an absolute must here), & B-liner Snapper. Also, their hot-sauce is one of P's favorites and you can purchase it go to!
Renzo
Wood-fired Neopolitan pizza, pasta & an extensive wine list in an upscale neighborhood trattoria. P's Favorites: Glass of House Red, Charred Broccolini (their XO sauce is lick the plate amazing) & The Cheli G's Favorites: Glass of Rose, Caesar Salad & Margherita pizza
Lewis Barbecue
One of the biggest and unresolved debates in the Christie/Jenkins family is who has the best BBQ the city has to offer? While some are partial to Hometeam, there's no denying that Lewis is finger-licking-good! P's Favorites: Brisket, Ribs & Green Chile Corn Pudding G's Favorites: Pulled Pork Sandwich & Mac n' Cheese
The Darling Oyster Bar
This place is nothing but, well, darling. Located in the heart of King Street, this stylish spot has a vintage appeal for creative seafood dishes, fry baskets & raw oysters. The Obstinate Daughter
Inventive New American fare, plus local craft beers & brunch, in an elegant, country-chic space. Located on Sullivan's Island, a great restaurant for brunch and dinner alike. Some of the best pizza the city has to offer! P’s Favorites: Spicy, Skinny Margarita, Farro Piccolo, Cheese of the Day, Grilled Octopus, Orecchiette (hands down my most favorite pasta ever), & The Dottie 2.0 G’s Favorites: Classic Margarita, Pappardelle & Ricotta Gnocchi
Post House
Take a quick trip over the Ravanel bridge and you'll find yourself in Mount Pleasant at one of our favorite restaurants in the charming Old Village. Both cozy & delicious, we can't recommend this place enough for dinner. P's Favorites: Beet Margarita, Hot Chicken Fried VA Oysters, Tuna Crudo, Crispo Brussel Sprouts, & Backbar Cheeseburger G's Favorites: Classic Margarita, Hot Chicken Fried VA Oysters & Backbar Cheeseburger PS - if you are an Outer Banks fan, you might recognize Pitt Street from some of the scenes!

Millers All Day
Pie and beer for breakfast? Eggs and biscuits for dinner? Miller's All Day is hands down one of the best all day restaurants downtown. P & G's Favorites: Everything. Pro-tip: M.A.D does not take reservations. We recommend putting in your name, getting a coffee to go and then taking a stroll down King Street while you wait.

A relax, New Orleans style joint serves delicious oysters, Southern-style seafood & fried chicken in an old auto body shop. Get the Siam salad, hushpuppies, and Brussel sprouts...and a few froses! Smoked meats, local seafood & a robust drink menu in a sprawling locale directly on Shem Creek. One of our favorite places to eat, drink & soak up the sun on the water. P & G's Favorites: You truly cannot go wrong with anything on this menu. Classic bar food with great beer and cocktail selections. They're famous for their frozen cocktails, so if the weather is good we recommend the Cutwater Cowboy-rita or Dockside Lemonade

We highly recommend taking a stroll through historic downtown, visiting Charleston harbor/battery and making your way up Rainbow Row. Rainbow Row is the name for a series of thirteen colorful historic houses in Charleston, located north of Tradd St. and south of Elliott St. on East Bay Street (79 to 107 East Bay Street).
