I received a save the date, now what?

Answer

Start saving your travel points! & make sure your passport isn't expired! The first thing you will most likely book is a flight to Italy. As for sleeping accommodations, more information will be provided individually to each guest from the bride and groom or their parents. Start planning a European summer vacation! While in Italy you might as well make a whole trip out of it so start deciding where else you want to go!

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Due to the strict nature of the capacity at the villa, along with planning a destination wedding in general, we would appreciate you letting us know as soon as possible if you think you will be joining us in Italy. If you are not able to join us, we will miss you SO much, but we completely understand it is a lot to make a trip to Italy! Formal invitations and RSVPs will be sent out at the beginning of 2026!

Do you have hotel blocks for guests?

Answer

The villa has 36 rooms and can sleep up to 100 guests. Once we have a clearer idea of how many guests will be joining us in Italy, we’ll share updates on any additional lodging options. Our families and bridal party will receive priority for staying in the villa. We also have a room block reserved at Hotel San Pietro for our guests, and there are plenty of other wonderful hotels and Airbnbs in the area if you prefer to stay elsewhere. Let us know if you need any recommendations!

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We kindly request formal attire. Women: Midi or floor-length dresses, or a chic pantsuit. Men: Suits. The ceremony and reception will be held on grass and cobblestone, so we recommend thicker heels or dressy sandals for comfort. And since we’ll be celebrating in Italy, feel free to embrace the moment—fun colors, patterns, and textures are encouraged!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate the guests who are formally listed on your wedding invitation. If you were given a plus one, their name will appear under yours when you RSVP. Thank you so much for your understanding!

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

Yes! As the sun will be shining (hopefully) our ceremony will be held outdoors with a cocktail hour and reception to follow. The after party will begin at midnight and it is required for that to be moved inside the Villa.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, there is plenty of parking!

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes! We will provide round-trip transportation between Hotel San Pietro and Villa Cariola for the welcome party and wedding. Both hotels also have private taxis available at all times. Exact times and details will be shared closer to the date.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Last year on June 26th, it was sunny and 75°F. Late spring and early summer in Italy are typically warm and bright during the day, with cooler, comfortable evenings — a perfect setting for outdoor celebrations!
