Its on for real!

Patrick and Taylor met at Wakarusa, a music festival on Mulberry Mountain in northwest Arkansas. Patrick helped Taylor’s group change a tire on their car. We ended up camping across the fire lane from each other and hit it off! We hung out all weekend. Taylor made plans to come visit Patrick for the 4th of July, and it went from there.

Patrick had been waiting for the right time to propose to Taylor but then she cut her knuckle and had to get stitches and wear a splint on her left hand! Once her spring break from teaching rolled around, Patrick talked Taylor into going turkey hunting with him. We ended up meeting up with our friend Adam, but when he went off to stalk a turkey, Patrick pulled the ring out of one of the many pockets in his turkey vest. We got engaged in the country on our friend Karen’s property.
