We're getting married!

Patrick and Sarah’s story began on the dating apps…. Sort of. Back in 2023, Patrick was on and off the dating apps searching for the right person. No one really caught Patrick’s eye until he came across the one and only Sarah Kim. Patrick knew he had to make a move, and what better way is there to show your intent than sending a rose? Filled with nervousness, Patrick tapped that rose and waited for Sarah to respond. Patrick waited, and waited. Unfortunately, the rose was not accepted. Fast forward a couple of weeks, Patrick is manning the welcome team table at church and he runs into a familiar face, Sarah. Despite his disbelief of the situation, Patrick decided to play it cool and pretend he does not recognize her. After church, Patrick’s mind was racing, thinking about how to handle the situation. He decides, it probably is better to just ignore her and move on with life to avoid any potential awkward situations. The next week at church, Patrick was determined to follow through with his plan. What Patrick did not expect was that Sarah came up to him. Sarah was new to the DMV but had friends from college who grew up in the area. From their recommendations of churches in the area, she decided to visit Rosebrook. When Sarah first visited the church, she felt welcomed by the warm community that was there. As she talked about her initial experiences at Rosebrook, she learned from a friend that Patrick happened to be childhood friends with one of her friends. The following week, Sarah approached Patrick to get to know him more and hopefully make a friend in this new community. She found that she enjoyed her conversations with Patrick and wanted to pursue a further friendship with him. The months went by, Patrick and Sarah started talking more and spent time together outside of church. After a Good Friday service one day, Sarah wanted to spend more time with people before going home. She decided to hit up Patrick and a few others to grab some food. Patrick agreed and ended up sitting across from Sarah. Through the night, Patrick and Sarah found themselves in their own world, talking and enjoying each other's company. They gradually felt a deeper connection with one another. By the end of the night, both Patrick and Sarah knew in their hearts they desired more than just a friendship from the other person. Initially, Sarah was hesitant to start dating Patrick. Sarah had just started medical school. With the difficult trials of medical school, Sarah was not sure if she could handle the stress of being a student as well as the commitment of a relationship. Patrick needed time to contemplate if he was really ready to start a relationship. With further conversations and prayer, Patrick and Sarah decided to take a leap and start dating. Through the years of dating, Patrick and Sarah continued to sharpen one another and supported the other person in their walk in life. Now today, Patrick and Sarah are ready to take the next step in their walk and become one unit!
