Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We ask that guests dress in cocktail attire. For women, this involves knee-length or midi dresses and jumpsuits. For men, it means a dark suit, dress shirt, and tie, or a blazer with dress pants.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive to St. Michael's no later than 1:45 p.m. The ceremony will begin promptly at 2 p.m. followed by cocktail hour at The Jefferson Hotel beginning at 5 p.m.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP.

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids! However, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adults-only event with the exception of our flower girl.

Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Answer

Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held inside.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We will be getting married in a church and ask that you enjoy the moment phone and camera free. We have hired professionals to capture our big day. Once we move to the cocktail hour and reception, feel free to take plenty of pictures.

What color are the bridesmaids wearing?

Answer

The Bridesmaids will be in mauve — a dusty pink/purple. Feel free to dress as you please, but we know women often don't want to match the parties.

What can I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Since there is a large gap between the ceremony and reception, we recommend guests either check into their hotel if they have not already or travel around the city of Richmond. The Jefferson Hotel has a bar in the lobby as well as many others within blocks of the Jefferson.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

There will be busses for guests that will meet at the Jefferson Hotel around 1:00 pm that will bring guests to St. Michael's Church for the 2:00 pm ceremony. The buses will also be there to transport guests after the ceremony back to the Jefferson Hotel for the reception. There will be NO transportation after the reception as it is assumed all guests will be within walking distance of the reception.
