Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We ask that guests dress in cocktail attire. For women, this means knee-length, midi, or maxi dresses. For men, this means a suit, dress shirt, and tie.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive to St. Michael no later than 1:45 p.m. The ceremony will begin promptly at 2 p.m. followed by cocktail hour at the Jefferson Hotel beginning at 5 p.m.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP.

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids! However, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adult-only event with the exception of our flower girls.

Will the wedding be inside or outside?

Answer

Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held inside.

What color are the bridesmaids wearing?

Answer

The bridesmaids will be in mauve — a dusty pink/purple.

What can I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our ceremony will conclude around 2:45 p.m. At that time, guests are invited to return to the city of Richmond, freshen up, explore, or enjoy a drink at a local bar before cocktail hour begins.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Buses will be available to transport guests from the Jefferson Hotel to St. Michael Catholic Church. The buses will depart at 1:00 p.m. for the 2:00 p.m. ceremony. Following the ceremony, guests will have the option to take the buses back to the Jefferson Hotel. There will be NO bus service following the reception since many guests will be staying within walking distance. See below for some great hotel options.
