For those that want to get into ocean for some fun this is a great place for beach rentals. Surf's Up!
Catalina Express
Anyone who has an extra day or two to explore will certainly enjoy a trip to Catalina. The island is home to wild Buffalo, incredible snorkeling and very few vehicles. Hiking here may be some of the best in the area.
Dana Wharf Sportfishing & Whale Watching
This area has ocean fishing and we may get a group to go out. No whales in August, but the area is full of marine life.
Doheny State Beach
This beach is right on the Pacific Ocean and is great for swimming, body boarding or just sleeping in the sand.
Pizza Port
Some of the best breweries are right here in Southern California. The vast majority are in and around San Diego. Pizza Port has a location that is a little closer.
In-N-Out Burger
If you come to California, find a way to stop here! Some of the country's favorite and freshest fast food. Make sure to look into the secret menu - we suggest Animal Style.
San Juan Capistrano Station
Take the surf liner to San Diego or up to Los Angeles.
Stone Brewing
About a 45 minute drive but well worth it if you love beer, one of the nicest breweries in the area. Home to Stone and Arrogant Bastard. Great place for the whole family.
Mother Earth Brew Company, LLC
Home of Patrick and Lisa's favorite beer - Cali Creamin - another great beer joint.
Trevor's at the Tracks
Nice location with great food hiding in a cute old train station.
Hidden House Coffee
Step over the tracks and into a hidden street full of quaint shops and coffee shops. This little area feels like something out of a story book.
Dana Point Headlands Conservation Area
Great place for a walk on ocean trails while over looking the deep blue Pacific from a bunch of beautiful cliffs.
Shaws Cove, Laguna Beach
One of the best locations for diving and snorkeling. The early portion of the day has the calmest water. Great tide pools and marine life.
Fair Dinkum Tap House
Local Coffee and Craft Beer. Not sure it gets better.
Costco Wholesale
Costco in California sells beer, liquor and wine. Take that upstate New York.
J C Beans Inc
Best Coffee in town, it says so on the banner out front. Great place for a quick breakfast.
