Hotel
Bellbridge Hotel is a short drive (<5mins) or walk (15-20mins) from the Armada Hotel, and 10mins drive from Creegh church. Again, plenty of rooms including Family Rooms, and the beach at Spanish Point is also walkable.
House Or Rental
Rather than list every property available on Airbnb, we'll be a touch more generic! You're best off looking around the following villages: Creegh; Spanish Point; Quilty; Doonbeg; Cooraclare; Miltown Malbay; Kilmihil. If you aim for any of those villages, or the surrounding area you won't go far wrong. There are larger towns a bit further afield (30-45mins) - Kilrush, Kilkee and Ennis if that's more your cup of tea.
Flight
Shannon Airport is the closest airport for those who are flying. It is less than an hour drive to Creegh and the surrounding area. Car hire and taxi is available at the airport, but public transport isn't an option.
Flight
Dublin Airport is better connected than Shannon Airport, with a greater variety of flight times and destinations. It is a 3 hour drive to Creegh and the surrounding area. Travel from Dublin Airport to Dublin City is easy and will typically take 30mins by public transport. Trains and buses are available from Dublin as far as Limerick or Ennis, but you'll need to drive or get a taxi the rest of the way to Creegh and the surrounding area, so a hire car from Dublin is probably as easy if you're flying in to Dublin Airport.
Travel Note
Irish Ferries and Stena Line run ferries between Holyhead and Dublin, and the crossing typically takes between 3 and 4 hours. They are usually a similar price - we prefer Irish Ferries but Stena Line have a few more sailings right now. Ferries are 24/7 and broadly speaking sail four times per day in both directions - every six hours from 9am. Dublin Port is right in the heart of Dublin City and is a 3.5 hour drive to Creegh and the surrounding area.
Travel Note
Irish Ferries and Stena Line run ferries between South Wales and Dublin, and the crossing typically takes between 3 and 4 hours. Irish Ferries sail from Pembroke, and Stena Line sail from Fishguard - different ports but both in South Wales! Each company sails two times per day in both directions - both have an early afternoon and late night ferry from Wales to Ireland, and both sail back (Ireland to Wales) in the morning and evening. Rosslare Port is in Wexford (SE corner of Ireland) and is a 4 hour drive to Creegh and the surrounding area.
