It's Finally Happening! We're getting Married!

They officially met online via Facebook. And they had their first date in Detroit Lakes Minnesota where they went bowling, ate dinner, and drove around town getting to know each other, towards the end of their date it began to snow when they had their first kiss by a lake. From there their attraction blossomed into a great love and friendship. So it was perfect to have the falling snow for their engagement photos to recreate that night over 5 years later.

While on vacation in South Padre Island, TX on September 29, 2017 they got engaged after the fireworks on the beach. Which almost didn't happen that way. But Jenn forgot her phone in the car when getting back to the hotel after dinner and a dolphin cruise they went on earlier that day. As she was headed to the car she overheard the desk clerk say that there would be fireworks on the beach about 15 minutes later. Meanwhile, Patrick is up in the hotel room with the ring in his hand trying to figure out how he's going to purpose before they left to come home Saturday morning because he wanted to do it there and not in Fargo. Once Jenn got her phone from the car she called Patrick to come down and watch the fireworks on the beach. Of course, he wanted to come down for the fireworks, He knew it was the chance he was hoping for to "pop the question". They walked out to the beach to watch the fireworks over the ocean. Once the fireworks were done Patrick said something along the lines of this was a great trip then he made it look like they were looking for crabs on the beach by pulling out his flashlight shining it on the ground (to make sure he wouldn't kneel on a jellyfish) and handed his phone to Jenn. Then he got down on one knee in front of the ocean and asked Jenn to marry him. It was the perfect ending to an awesome Texas vacation.
