Wedding & Reception

ATTIRE: "Rustic-chic picnic wedding" cocktail/semi-formal attire...or whatever you'll be the most comfortable in! Since this is an outdoor Fall wedding in a shady oak grove, bring layers and rain gear (just in case). The ground is uneven and leafy, so we don't recommend high heels or floor-length dresses.
12:30: Arriving. Don't leave anything valuable in your car. Enjoy the string trio as you get settled! 1pm: Ceremony begins 2pm: Lunch & lawn games 3pm: Toasts 4pm: Dessert & music 5pm: Wrap up! But you're welcome to linger until the music stops at 5:30... (There may be a special surprise in store for those who stick around...) Post your photos using the hashtag #patrickandjanel, and look out for a Dropbox link from us after the wedding so we can collect your photos!
Millennial Afterparty

ATTIRE: Wear what you wore to the wedding OR change into a more comfortable outfit...or a costume!! You do you—but def bring warm layers.
Following the wedding/reception, friends are invited to keep the party going at our house in North Oakland. Janel's sibs will bring any leftover food and drinks from the wedding to the house, but it would be great if you could bring more booze, non-alcoholic drinks and food to share (just don't leave valuables in your car while you're shopping). You can head straight from the reception to the house—greeters will be there to let you in and keep you entertained until Janel & Patrick arrive after their sunset photoshoot with the wedding photographers. You're also welcome to take a break (or go home and drop your kids off with a sitter, if you're local) then roll up a little later. DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR IN OAKLAND.
