I guess the long story short is that we were set up by a mutual friend (thanks Johnny!), but if you want the long story, it took meeting multiple times in various locations, moving cities, and a psychic premonition to make us realize we were meant to be together!!! First time meeting: Spring 2012 Location: Richmond Pig Roast at the lodges What happened: Johnny introduced Pat to Heidi as 'his coolest girl friend at school.' We said hi and went our separate ways. Second time meeting: April 26, 2014 Location: Foxfields horse race in New Jersey What happened: After taking a photo of a couple of friends and then a horrible selfie that was later uploaded to Facebook, Heidi agreed to let Pat tag along with her in search of a corndog. Third time meeting: Winter 2016 Location: Boston, where Pat was living at the time What happened: Heidi & crew were waiting to get into a basement birthday party at Capo, saw Pat alone, and cut him to increase chances of getting inside. Alas, to no avail. **Heidi visits a psychic completely sure she's going to be alone forever, and even more so when the psychic tells her that her true love was someone she already knew and was 'right around the corner.' Heidi was terrified thinking about all of the boys she currently knew being her life partner.... Fourth time's a charm: May 19, 2018 Location: Mutual friend's NYC apartment What happened: Pat walked in 'around the corner' to the living room where Heidi was hanging out, sat down right next to her, Heidi said 'you look SO familiar...' and the rest is history!!! Our first official date consisted of a non-stop bar-hop...7 to be exact...the first of which Andrew also happened to be at...so Heidi unknowingly met the fam on night 1. Jumping the gun a bit, Pat boldly invited Heidi to go on his work trip to Punta Cana only a few weeks later. So as you can see, it's all about the timing!!
