We'll cut straight to it: we're running away to elope in Iceland in September. It'll be a small, intimate affair, and we’re only inviting immediate family. But we love you guys. And we like to have a good time. So we're giving you all the excuse you need to visit our newly-built love nest in the Far North: WE’RE THROWING A PARTY Over Summer Solstice weekend, we’re hosting an epic get-together at our new house with some of our favorite people. No formalities, no drama, just some good old-fashioned shenanigans on the Last Frontier. Can’t wait to see you!

It all started in a laundry room. Erin (our heroine) was VERY beautiful. She was also VERY smart. During her freshman year at Gonzaga, she started doing her laundry on the boys’ floor. Since the boys never did their laundry, she didn’t have any competition for machines. And it was easy to tell which clothes were hers. Patrick (our supporting role) was not as beautiful, or as smart. But he WAS brave. One night, while looking for advice on women, he found Erin in his laundry room. Since Erin was a woman, it seemed like she might know some things. Erin wasn’t impressed. She’d seen this kid around before. He sometimes wore pink shirts, and didn’t tie his shoes. Still, she was kind, so she humored him. Eventually she discovered that he was not only brave, but also kinda charming. And he could almost grow a beard... And so began an unromantic friendship. Over time, though, it blossomed into a slightly more romantic ROMANCE. Birds sang! Harps played! Naked little cherubs danced across campus! Alas, following graduation, they became separated by hundreds of dusty, desolate miles. (Google “Wyoming” for more info.) Erin set off to get a Doctorate in Colorado, and Patrick moved to Utah to go snowboarding. (Also, to go to school.) But don’t give up hope! There’s a happy ending! Not even the howling wastelands of Wyoming could keep the two apart. Like moths to a flame, Erin and Patrick were drawn back together. After three long years, with the ink still drying on her diploma, Erin barged into Patrick’s Utah apartment and demanded two things: 1) A puppy 2) Her boyfriend back Patrick knew better than to say no to the good doctor. A year later, with big eyes and bigger dreams, our heroes packed everything they owned into the backs of their cars, and created a very short caravan headed north. Fast forward. Atop a windswept cliff somewhere in Alaska, Patrick got down on one knee and asked Erin to wear his ring. Erin agreed. And now they’re getting married.
