Matron of Honor
Keri is the bride's big sister. I couldn't imagine getting married without my sister by my side. There is no bond like a sister bond. We have 9 years between us, and have lived several states away, yet nothing changes. We can go weeks without talking and pick up right where we left off. No one tells you the truth like a sister does. Keri is my first phone call when I have a bad day, and my first phone call on my best day. This year, Keri and her family moved to the Raleigh area! It has been great to see them more often. Love you, sister!
Best Man
When it comes to having an older brother I really think I won the lottery. Despite being four years apart in age, he always included me in activities with his friends despite our occasional butting of heads. I believe William is the hardest working, most outgoing, most optimistic and most charismatic person I know. He has always been a strong role model for me and I'm lucky to have him as one of my best men. William lives with his Wife Elizabeth and three children: John Howell, Moriah, and Dottie in Holly Springs where they are constantly playing outdoors.
Bridesmaid
Lisette is the bride's best friend. Lisette and I met when we first started working as counselors at Wake Forest High School (#thosenewcounselors). Looking back, working together introduced us to one another, but was just the very start of our friendship. After I left WFHS, our bond got even stronger. Patrick and I join Lisette and her family for sunday dinners just about every week. I am honored to be godmother to her twins, Maverick and Bella! Lisette and her husband Shane been my stand in family in NC when I had no one. We have had some of the best laughs and have been through a wild roller coaster of life over the last 9 years.
Best Man
Gregory has been my best friend ever since we first met in the summer of 3rd grade. From that point on we spent almost every waking moment together along with his brother Elliott. Greg moved to the Raleigh area in high school where we lost touch for a brief moment. After I moved to Raleigh for college we reconnected as if time had never passed. Gregory has a strong work ethic and never misses a chance to live his life to the fullest. He lives with his wife Alyssa and his two boys: Asher and Miles. I've always considered Greg to be an inspiration for how to live my life and I couldn't imagine having my wedding without him. Gregory has truly become more of a brother than a friend.
Bridesmaid
Mary Margaret and Christine first bonded when they started dating roommates, Patrick and Daniel! We will skip over our shared thoughts on their bachelor living conditions. Both working in education, we immediately connected and supported each other as we transitioned to our lives as "dapper dames". Our friendship grew way beyond the connection through our partners. Mary Margaret brought me into her life full force and shared all of her friends with me. She is the reason I have a full bridal party! We are both dedicated (aka crazy) dog moms. I love knowing we will continue to move through the different phases of life together.
Groomsman
Gregory's younger brother, we are just 1 year apart in age. Elliott was an important part of our hangouts as children. After moving to the Raleigh area where we reconnected, Elliott and I forged a friendship outside of our brotherly trios as children. Elliott is one of the most creative people I know and always has a fun game to liven up a room. Elliott lives with his wife Megan and their two terrific cats. Elliott may have started out as a friend but now has become one of my brothers.
Bridesmaid
Maggie is an absolutely wonderful friend who I met only a few years ago. She is a strong, independent woman who works as a high school science teacher and a hardcore advocate for all educators. To me, she can be the ultimate cheerleader! She is the most supportive friend and the only person to think I could make it as a stand up comedian. After hanging out with Maggie, you truly feel like you can reach any goal you set for yourself! She is also just a blast and always down for a good time.
Groomsman
I originally met Daniel through Greg and quickly after I began to work with both of them at the restaurant Lucky 32. Daniel and I quickly forged our own personal bond as we worked late nights together at the restaurant and soon after became roommates. Daniel is an incredibly hard working individual who selflessly puts others before himself. Daniel can be one of the loudest and quietest people in a room and I can say he is truly a unique individual. Daniel lives with his wife Mary Margaret Mills-Thomason with their two dogs Zora and Gigi. I'm very honored to have a friend such as Daniel and couldn't be happier to have him as a groomsman.
Bridesmaid
Caitlin is the epitome of sweetness. Another friend who I met through MM, Caitlin is also a teacher and a dog mom. We have the additional bond of being yankees making our way through the southern way of life. Caitlin will always make you smile, will always be down for a sparkly/magical halloween costume (see pic), and will always be there for you when you need her.
Groomsman
Greg and Paul became friends while working together and Greg quickly introduced him into our friend group. As time went on Daniel, Greg, Paul, and I all became close friends discussing our various nerdy interests. Paul is a charismatic character who tends to bring life into a room. Paul lives with his wife Kristin and works as a high school teacher. I'm so glad to know Paul and I know with him around there will never be a dull moment!
Flower Girl
Dottie is the youngest member of our bridal party! She is our youngest niece and will be two years old at the time of our wedding. Dottie has been the most welcome surprise to the McGuire family. She has the best parts of her brother and sister in her- calm and sweet, but fearless and personable. We love Dottie so much!
Groomsman
Kurt and I met through our mutual friend Elliott Miller while out for dinner one night. It led to Kurt bringing me into the exciting field of PME Engineering design and I couldn't be more thankful. Kurt really became a mentor at work and we got close spending a lot of time discussing our interests and personal life in our downtime. Kurt is a very talented handyman and has helped me out with numerous household projects such as laying down flooring and repairing our fence. Kurt lives with his wife Jill and their fantastic four cats. Although Kurt and I no longer work together (as he has moved on to bigger pastures in his transition to move back home to Canada) I couldn't be more blessed to have him as a colleague and friend.
Flower Girl
Moriah is our older niece and will serve as flower girl with her baby sister. Moriah is a true Disney princess-- she loves all things glitter, rainbow, and beautiful, but knows no fear and will never face down an adventure! We just know she will be the best flower girl ever!
Jr. Groomsman
Devin is our nephew and will serve as a junior groomsman. Devin is a fantastic baseball player, skilled video gamer, and die hard Mets fan. We were so excited when Devin moved to the Raleigh area last summer! Devin will be almost 11 on our wedding day.
Jr. Groomsman
My nephew John Howell, William's oldest child, is incredibly sharp for his age to the point where I sometimes forget he is still a kid. John Howell loves science, playing soccer and hanging out with his friends. It's been a joy to watch him grow up and I'm so glad to have him as one of my Jr. groomsmen.
