Both!
As of April 1, 2021, Virginia is only allowing weddings with 100 people or less (not including venue staff). We are grateful that we are able to invite most of our close friends and a lot family, but we are not having as large of an event as we had originally planned. If you are not invited to attend in person, you will be invited to our virtual ceremony.
In-person invitations will be mailed by April 15th. Virtual invitations will be emailed.
Everyone should RSVP on our website. You can RSVP at any time, even before receiving your invitation. Please RSVP by Monday, April 26, or let us know that you need more time to figure out your plans.
Yes! Our ceremony will be outside, with enough seats for people to sit 6 ft apart. There is plenty of room to spread out during cocktail hour. Some drinks and appetizers will be available inside the manor house, but no one will have to spend an extended amount of time inside to enjoy the wedding. Dinner will be under a tent, and we will do our best to make our seating chart social distancing friendly. Bring umbrellas!!
If you are inside the manor house, wearing a mask is required by Virginia law. Wearing a mask while outside is highly encouraged.
We are not requiring it, but please get vaccinated if you can! And let us know if you've been vaccinated, if you feel comfortable.

Sadly, they almost certainly will not. Our overseas friends and family will be sent virtual invitations. We will especially miss our Canadian family, and hope to make it up to you all with a visit in 2022!
The dress code is semi-formal. (Dresses or dressy separates. Ties optional.) Again, please bring raincoats and umbrellas, just in case. And sunscreen!!
Yes, the cicadas are coming. Just don't be surprised when you see/hear them!
