Aileen and Patrick's Favorites: We know it will be warm but DC has great things to do-both indoor and out. Here are a couple of our favorite things to do, in addition all this sites you already know! Aileen recommends checking out the Washington Post food section for restaurant recommendations-there are too many to list!

Union Market

A historical market that hosts a flea market outside every weekend. The Capitol Hill neighborhood is charming to walk around and window shop as well.

Nationals Park

The Yards Park

Also located near our apartment and regular location for date nights. If you are looking for a good treat- try Ice Cream Jubilee. Aileen is partial to the Pacers Running Store and Sweetgreen Salad shop as well.

The Phillips Collection

This museum charges an entrance fee but it always has an excellent collection and is located in Dupont.

National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden

Along with art exhibits, the Gallery hosts Jazz in the Garden, the summertime concert series that takes place every Friday afternoon in the Sculpture Garden.

H Street Corridor

H Street NE, a dynamic one-and-a-half mile stretch in Northeast DC, is known for its nightlife, restaurants and pop-ups. Aileen lived in this neighborhood for 5 years and still loves the area.

Rock Creek Park

This is a great location if you are looking for fresh air- its also a great place to run. Other running locations include-the National Mall/Tidal Basin, SW Waterfront, Rock Creek Park Trails to Georgetown.
