We'll be getting married at Cornerstone Baptist Missionary Church on 3rd and Paul St in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco. This is a very special place to Patti and her family, as her home church Redeemer Community shared space with Cornerstone for much of her childhood. Her mom's ordination, brother's baptism, and other important events also happened here. Cornerstone is located in the Bayview, the neighborhood her church calls home, and is close to Patti's high school, near John MacLaren Park (one of her favorite places in the world), and not far from her neighborhood, the Excelsior. Both the ceremony and reception will be at Cornerstone, and the church is accessible via the T line and 29 bus. (Allow for extra time if taking public transit, as the T can be a little unreliable.) We are deeply grateful for Cornerstone's hospitality and partnership, and for their ministry in the Bayview neighborhood.
If you can't come in person, you will be able to watch the ceremony on an online livestream. There will also be a reception in New Jersey a few weeks after the wedding for those who are unable to travel across the country. If that option works better for you, please reach out to Micah at patricia.micah.2024@gmail.com for more details. More information to come!
RSVPs will go live very soon, and we will notify you via email. Once they do, please RSVP as soon as possible, as we need to establish a headcount. Thank you!
Yes yes yes! Please bring your kids! (They should be listed on your invitation.) There will be lots of family friendly fun. You could even send just your kids and stay home. (Haha, just kidding - please be sure that your children are accompanied by their parent or a trusted adult.)
Very limited parking will be available in the lot directly in front of the church. There will be parking attendants who will help guests find spaces and monitor the cars during the event. We ask that guests please leave this parking available primarily for those with handicaps and disabilities, and secondly for out-of-town family and guests. More parking may be available in the area, more information to come.
The most convenient airport is SFO (San Francisco International Airport), which is fifteen minutes outside San Francisco and connected to the city by public transit (BART). Guests can also fly to Oakland International Airport and San Jose International Airport, but would need to rent a car and drive (around 30-45 minutes) into the city.
Lodging may be more affordable outside of the city. We'd recommend looking at options in nearby Daly City, Colma, South San Francisco, or further south on the Peninsula near San Jose and comparing to options within San Francisco. Keep in mind that outside of the city you probably will need a car (although you can look into using BART). Anywhere within San Francisco city limits should be accessible via public transit.
Nope! But if you want direction, think summer garden party (but indoors), which is to say - daytime semi-formal. For color, think lemons and pomegranates and eucalyptus, the teal-blue of a mallard's feather, a stage-maker's idea of a flower field (... which means, lemon yellow, orange & blue; sage green, teal, & red - color. lots of color). Mostly, wear what makes you feel lovely.
