About the event
Answer
We value creating memories and intimate moments with the friends and family we hold dearest. With that in mind, we have chosen to focus on keeping our wedding ceremony and reception on the smaller side. Our ceremony will take place in an outdoor setting in the beautiful local Ault Park in the Hyde Park neighborhood that we call home. We will have chairs for those who may need to sit during the ceremony. Though we cannot control the weather, we are hoping for the typical beautiful autumn day. Should that not be the case, we will share our alternative plans for the ceremony. We our excited to have Garrison's Aunt Donna, his mother's sister, officiate our wedding and plan to recite our own personal vows before heading off to The Precinct for the most special dinner with our guests to start the rest of our lives together. The dinner will take place on the second floor of The Precinct with assigned seating. The evening will start with hors d'oeuvres and beverages before taking our seats to order from a limited menu and enjoying the night together. While we intend to have some traditional aspects such as first dances, cutting our cake, and speeches- we will not have the traditional band or DJ with a dancefloor, though we certainly welcome those of you who are inspired to bust a move to get up and dance! We have not yet decided on a solid plan for after the reception and will update here once we have a clear decision- but there are no end to possibilities for afterward- with Pearl's almost next door, or a little closer to our home- The Vault in Mt. Lookout Square.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
We suggest semi-formal to formal attire for our wedding. We welcome you to come in whatever color or style you are comfortable with. If you are looking for suggestions, we recommend a variety of colors ranging in black, navy, forest green, sage green and light blue to help celebrate our love of nature.

Please note that our celebration is limited to those listed on your invitation due to the intimate nature of our dinner reception.

How do we select dinner for the reception?
Answer
We will have a limited menu available at the Precinct that you will be able to order from once everyone is seated for dinner. If you have any food allergies, we welcome you to tell the server when ordering.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
If choosing to drive, there is plenty of free parking in Ault Park for the ceremony. For the dinner reception at the Precinct, we have kindly taken care of valet services for our guests who would like to take advantage.
