How We Met

It Goes Down In the DMs

We both went to Rutgers, but believe it or not, we weren’t close friends back then. Over the years, we’d chat sparingly on social media — and, funny enough, we were often living just minutes apart without even realizing it. Then came 2020. Lorwin slid into my DMs — not to flirt, but to correct something I had posted. That one message sparked a conversation that turned into a fast friendship. We started scheduling quarterly dinners that would last well past midnight, often shutting down restaurants and bars just talking. Even then, we weren’t ready to call it a night — we’d move to the parking lot and keep talking. I used to joke that one day we’d talk until the sun came up. And then one day, we did. That sunrise conversation changed everything — we both knew this was something real. By September 2022, we decided to make it official — and the rest, as they say, is history.

The Proposal

Los Angeles - Where Dreams Come True

Fast forward to a trip to Los Angeles — a getaway full of sunshine, good food, and new memories. On one special night, Lorwin brought me to the iconic Griffith Observatory, with the city lights twinkling below us and a starry sky above. Under the vast LA night sky, he got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. It was simple, perfect, and so very us — just the two of us, the stars, and a quiet moment that felt like the whole world had paused. Of course, I said yes!

Love in Human Form

Our Little Miracle: Chase

In November of 2023, we found out we were expecting our first child together, a beautiful surprise that turned our annual holiday trip to Mexico into an impromptu babymoon. We were overjoyed and couldn’t wait to share the news with our families at Christmas that year. Our pregnancy journey was smooth and joy-filled until around 28 weeks, when things suddenly took a turn. At just 32 weeks, our little fighter, Chase, made his grand entrance, two months early and ready to take on the world. Though small, he came out strong and determined, spending 64 days in the NICU showing us what true resilience looks like. Bringing Chase home was one of the most unforgettable moments of our lives. That experience brought us even closer, the way only life’s unexpected twists can. Today, Chase is a happy, healthy toddler who is always trying to keep up with his big brother Christopher, fills our home with laughter, energy, and endless renditions of Sesame Street songs. He’s our greatest blessing and the heartbeat of our little family. He’s our little miracle, our daily dose of joy, and the heart of our growing family.

The First Step to Forever

Everything Has Led Us to This

Some connections feel written in the stars. Ours began as friendship, easy, effortless, and full of laughter, and grew into the kind of love that feels both fated and familiar. From long talks that stretched into the early morning hours to an unforgettable proposal under the starry Los Angeles sky, every moment has led us here. In November 2023, we found out our love story was expanding with the sweetest blessing — our son, Chase. His early arrival tested our strength and deepened our bond, reminding us that love isn’t just about the beautiful beginnings, but about weathering life’s surprises hand in hand. Now, with big brother Christopher completing our little family, our hearts are full. On March 1, 2026, we’ll take the first step to forever — surrounded by the people we love most, celebrating the joy, the journey, and the unshakable love that brought us here.
