Ryan and Patra met as all good Coloradans do—while enjoying the great outdoors. Whether it was the orange helmet Ryan wore in the Winter Park parking lot the day they met, the way Ryan skied effortlessly through the trees, or when Ryan had to chase Patra down ski runs; they were instantly smitten. After he drove her 200 feet to her car so she wouldn’t have to walk in ski boots (really, so he could get her phone number 😉), their second date was planned: another ski date at A-Basin followed by sushi. As they say, the rest is history—or rather, the rest is an ever-growing collection of adventures. From countless ski days and concerts, to Ryan taking Patra mountain biking for the first time (at 9,000 feet, in the snow), hiking 14ers or to alpine lakes to fly fish for cutthroat trouts, to Patra convincing Ryan to go on his second backpacking trip ever—a four-day trek with 28-degree overnight temps and waking up to four inches of snow on their tent—each experience has only brought them closer. That backpacking trip became even more memorable when they got engaged overlooking the Maroon Bells near Aspen, Colorado. These days, they can almost always be found exploring, laughing, and adventuring through life together. We hope you can come celebrate the kick off to our next adventure!
