Flights

For our guests that are flying in, the closest airports to Jekyll Island are Jacksonville, FL and Savannah, GA. The Jacksonville airport is a one hour drive to Jekyll. The Savannah airport is an hour and a half. Both airports have rental cars as well as Uber/Lyft. For our guests coming from Atlanta, there is a direct flight through Delta that goes right into Brunswick, GA that is very reasonably priced. The Brunswick airport is a 30 minute drive to Jekyll.

When to book...

Regardless of where you stay, we encourage all our guest to make their reservations EARLY as Jekyll Island becomes very crowded during the summer. Hotels will book up months in advance so don't wait until the last minute!

Jekyll Island Club Resort

This hotel will be the closest to all of the wedding activities and is the one where we recommend you stay. You will be able to walk to the ceremony, reception, and then back to your room at the end of the night. We have a block of reserved rooms that you can book one of three ways. You can call 888-445-3179,, email reservation@jekyllclub.com, or you can follow the above link to the group reservation form. If you choose to book via the website, complete the submission form and someone from the club will reach out to assist you in completing your reservation. The group number is 26527760 or you may tell them you are with the Foels-Davis wedding. If asked whether you prefer to stay at the Ocean Club or on the historic side of the resort, tell them you prefer the HISTORIC side if you would like to be closer to the site of ceremony and reception!

Jekyll Ocean Club

This is the other side of the resort owned by the Jekyll Island Club. If you are looking to stay on the beach then this is the place to stay! You will still be a short 6-minute drive to the site of the ceremony and reception. You book via calling the phone number above, following the above link and filling out the group reservation form, or by emailing reservation@jekyllclub.com. Just state that you would like a room on the OCEAN CLUB side of the resort. Again, just give them the group number 26527760 or state you are with the Foels-Davis wedding.

Other hotel options

There are many many hotels in close vicinity to the ceremony and reception so feel free to explore other options if neither of the above work for you. Some more economical options I have found include the Hampton Inn and Suites, the Holiday Inn Resort, and the Days Inn and Suites. Travel Note

For those staying off Jekyll Island

For those of you who choose to stay off Jekyll Island either in St. Simons or the surrounding area, please be aware that the line to enter Jekyll gets extremely long throughout the day and June will be peak season. Please plan accordingly for the day of the ceremony and give yourself plenty of time to arrive! If you arrive early, there is a bar within the hotel as well as plenty of seating inside as well as on the porch that is perfect for enjoying the gorgeous view while you wait!
