We both grew up spending time in Galveston, and are fortunate to spend most weekends there each summer, enjoying the views, food, nightlife, and yes, even the beaches. Below are the two hotels we've reserved room blocks in, along with some of our favorite eateries, drinkeries, and things to do if you choose to spend time in Galveston on the front or back end of the cruise.

The Tremont House

We are thrilled that you will be traveling to Galveston to celebrate with us! Our contracted guestroom dates are September 19-22 (you do NOT need to book all three nights to receive the room block rate), if you would like to arrive early or stay late, or have any questions relating to the Tremont House or upgrade availability, please email Jordyn at jcowan@thetremonthouse.com The cutoff date for guestroom reservations is 8/19/25, we do anticipate the block to sell out. The Tremont House does have a cancellation policy of 48 hours prior to arrival, and check in is at 4:00 PM. Click the link below to view rates and book through our wedding block:

Home2 Suites by Hilton Galveston

We have a room block reserved at the Home2 Suites with views of the Gulf. The room block rate is available 9/19-9/22, though you do NOT need to reserve all three nights to be in the room block. Downtown Galveston

The Strand, Galveston, TX 77550

Downtown Galveston, and in particular The Strand and Postoffice Street, feature a lot of great restaurants, bars, and shops.

Moody Gardens

1 Hope Boulevard, Galveston, TX 77554

Moody Gardens features a number of attractions, rides, and the opportunity to get up close to exotic species of animals and plants.

Pineapple Parlor

Galveston Island Brewing

Stop by Galveston Island Brewing and try a Causeway Kolsch or Tiki Wheat.

Founder's Bar at Grand Galvez Hotel

2024 Seawall Boulevard, Galveston, TX 77550

The lobby bar at the Grand Galvez Hotel has the best espresso martinis on the island, along with great views of the Gulf.

BLVD Seafood

2804 Avenue R 1/2, Galveston, TX 77550

BLVD is our most frequent stop for lunch or dinner, and the crab stuffed shrimp bites are not to be missed.

Number 13 Prime Steak and Seafood

We've celebrated anniversaries and birthdays at Number 13 and enjoy the views and ambiance almost as much as the food.

Katie's Seafood House

Try Katie's for lunch, dinner, or a drink with views of Galveston Bay.
