We’re getting married!!

We met when we were just kids! Our parents hung out when we were only 5 and 7. We stayed connected throughout the years, and when I was in college Cody made several attempts to hang out with me. I was too nervous to meet up with him because I always had a crush on him. When I graduated college in 2020 and moved back home, we finally made plans to go on a date and I didn’t stand him up this time ;). 

On May 24, 2020 we went out for ice cream and then Cody drove me around while serenading me to “Linger” by the Cranberries and “Landslide” The Dixie Chicks version, of course, and that was when I knew I was going to fall in love with him. We were basically inseparable from that point on and spent that next few months talking on the phone all night while he was living in Laconia, NH still and I was supposed to be studying for my nursing boards. We moved in together 6 months later, he became Boden’s official dog dad, we added a kitten to the family, and then we added one more kitten just to complete the family (for now). 

On March 16th, 2023 on our vacation in Hawaii, Cody took me by complete surprise and proposed to me. I had nonchalantly brought up marriage a few months before and he made it seem like it was out of the question for a long time. Little did I know, he had other plans. He is really big into surprises and knows I am notorious for spoiling them, so he didn’t tell anyone affiliated with me about the proposal, kept the ring at his grandparents, and didn’t bring the ring box with us to Hawaii. We walked down to the peninsula on Onomea bay to see the twin rocks prior and we were captivated by the beauty. The next day he said he wanted to go back there and I agreed. There was one couple in front of us and he offered to take their picture if they would take one of us in return. He then got down on one knee and asked me to be marry him! Easiest yes ever ❤️
