WE'RE GETTING MARRIED

We met how most couples meet these days, online! Carter had just moved to California and landed in Redding. Patrick, a California native, was visiting Redding for the weekend for his brother's wedding. Carter was at the gym while Patrick was eating at a restaurant across the street. We saw each other's profile and it was an easy swipe right! We matched and the rest is history!

We were on vacation with Pat's family in Truckee, CA. We all decided to go downtown to explore then have lunch at one of the popular restaurants. The plan after lunch was to drive to Tahoe City for more exploring and sightseeing. Little did Patrick know that those plans were all a cover up. As we finished our lunch and began to make the trip down to Tahoe City, Carter pitched the idea of doing a quick hike that included a beautiful view of Truckee. After Google Maps sent us on a detour to the opposite side of the mountain, we finally found the trailhead. We began our hike on Picnic Rock trail. What should have been a 30 minute hike became an hour and a half, as we get lost and hiked a mile past the vista point. Once we corrected our course, we arrived at the vista point. Carter set up his tripod in an attempt to get a photo with the view. As we got settled for the photo, Carter dropped to one knee and popped the question. We then drove back to our cabin where Carter planned a surprise engagement party with all of our close friends and family.
