Holiday Inn Sarasota-Lido Beach-@the Beach, an IHG Hotel

Some of the bridal party/family will be staying here. It is also where the trolley will pick up/drop off the night of the wedding. It is centrally located and within walking distance to plenty of places. It is ~15 minutes to the Powel Crosley. Caveat is that this hotel is slated to be closed for a remodel at some point in May. If that happens and you have an existing reservation at the property, hotel staff will contact you and re-accommodate at Lido Beach Resort (an upgrade, at the Holiday Inn price) or to Sandcastle Resort (in one of their higher tier rooms), so there is no risk that you would not have a place to stay. Distance to Sunday’s welcome reception/rehearsal party: two tenths of a mile; 5-minute walk Distance to St. Armand shopping/restaurant district: four tenths of a mile; 9-minute walk Distance to wedding venue: seven miles; 20-minute drive without beach traffic, but could be an hour (or more) depending on in-season beach traffic.

This hotel is across the street from the venue. It is about eight minutes from where the bridal party will be staying in Lido Key. The transportation provided will not run here, but it is close enough to walk to the venue. If you use the link provided, it will take you to our roomblock.

Lido Beach Resort

Modern luxury resort with large beachfront area with beach chairs and a pool area tiki bar. Conveniently located within short walking distance of Sunday’s welcome reception/rehearsal party combo event. Distance to Sunday’s welcome reception/rehearsal party: one tenth of a mile; 3-minute walk Distance to St. Armand shopping/restaurant district: seven tenths of a mile; 13-minute walk Distance to wedding venue: 7.2 miles; 15-minute drive without beach traffic, but could be an hour (or more) depending on in-season beach traffic.

Sandcastle Resort at Lido Beach

Sandcastle Resort was built in 1953 and feels like a taking a step back in time. While it does not rise to “luxury” resort status, it provides clean, comfortable rooms and a large pool and beachfront tiki bar area with beach chairs. The resort has a rich history of at one time being owned by Leona Helmsley, who then bequeathed it to her Maltese pup (Trouble) when she died in 2007, making national news! A favorite of European travelers for the price-point and mid-century charm; clean and convenient place to lay your head to rest or sit on the private beach. Shuttle

Shuttle from the Holiday Inn at Lido Key to the Powel Crosley Estate

A shuttle will pick up guests at the Holiday Inn. If you are staying at other hotels on Lido Key, you should be able to walk to the Holiday Inn if you wish. There is quite a bit of traffic going over the bridge to the venue, so the shuttle will be leaving with plenty of time to accommodate such matters. If you would like to drive to the Powel Crosley Estate, there will be plenty of parking as well.
