Our go to breakfast spot! We also love their coffee and lunch options! Grab their famous breakfast burrito and head down to Caras Park to watch the surfers at Brennans Wave. Market on Front does get busy in the summer so we defiantly recommend placing a to go order ahead of time!
Enjoy your morning before the festivities by perusing local products and make sure to grab some refreshing lemonade! The Clark Fork Market, People's Market and Missoula Farmers Market are located downtown and within walking distance.
This is one of our favorites! We recommend getting an order of the bison sliders and the truffle fries.
Montana is known for Glacier National Park. Between horseback riding, boat trips and Going to the Sun Road, the 3 hour drive is worth it. Book in advance, hit the road early with a stop at Bernice's Bakery for coffee and pastries and enjoy the escape from Missoula. Make sure you have your sunscreen, bear spray, raincoat and good hiking shoes. We recommend stopping at Burgertown in Big Fork on the way back to Missoula.
If you don't want to make the trip to Glacier or could not make a reservation, Jewel Basin is another favorite place for gorgeous views, mountain lakes and lots of trails. It is also dog friendly. Our favorite hikes include Birch Lake, Picnic Lakes and Black Lake. Jewel Basin is still around a 2 1/2 hour drive to Camp Misery Trailhead and we recommend getting to the trailhead before 10:00 am if you want to beat the crowd. Stop by Burgertown in Big Fork on your way back to Missoula. The huckleberry shake is the best! From Bigfork, take Hwy 35 north to Hwy 83. Head east on Hwy 83 to the junction of the Echo Lake Road. Head north on Echo Lake Road about 3 miles to junction with the Jewel Basin Road (No. 5392). Follow this road approximately 7 miles to the trailhead. CAUTION: The last 5 miles are steep. Use headlights for safety. Caution advised for low clearance vehicles. Trailers not recommended.
Check out some live music in the heart of downtown Missoula. Check out their website for more information on ticket prices. Some of their Friday shows are free!
Missoula in the summer is the best. Caras Park always has local events including music, vendors, dinner in the park and the carousel. Stay tuned for events happening the second week of August 2025!
Float the Clark Fork! Pick up some inner tubes from Eastgate Ace Hardwear or contact the Clark Fork Yact Club to reserve your flotation device. The river is unpredictable so please be safe. There are multiple starting and stopping points from East Missoula all the way to Caras Park.
This is the local spot for your late night sweet treat!
Rockin Rudys eclectic collection of music, gifts, knick knacks and tshirts is a great place for gifts and window shopping. This is also the spot that Parker asked Josephine to go on a first date.
