I'm glad you asked! We have chosen to have a bible displayed in lieu of a traditional guest book. We would love for each of our guests to highlight their favorite passage, or a verse of encouragement, then sign their name in the wide margin provided to the side. So you might want to come prepared with a specific reference in mind... and a back up in case it becomes popular before you arrive!
We want our guests to be comfortable! While the phrase "Sunday Dress" is being used to describe what most will likely wear, we know that varies from church to church and can still be confusing. Family may be a tad more dressed up than the average guest, but we expect most guys will choose to be in khakis and button downs, and girls to be in whatever makes them feel cute! But if you're a jeans kinda friend, have at it! We just want you there!
Our reception will consist of lighter fare... finger foods and cake! Plenty to tide you over until your dinner time later that evening. With all of the amazing restaurants near the church, you'll have fun keeping the party going later with friends and family. May we suggest Baker's Crust? Affordable and TASTY!
We do not have childcare for the day. If you'd like some options for sitters for your family, please let us know and we can get you a couple of names and numbers of people we trust.
First, no gifts are necessary! In fact, if you look at our registry page, you'll also see a few charities that we would enjoy knowing you donated to in our honor. We will have a decorative box for cards if you'd like to let us know what charity you opted to support. Of course, if you DO have something with which you'd like to bless us, there will be space by the card box for you to leave your gift. Remember, though, we are filled with joy just to have you attend.
