Right across the street from the Claremont Hotel! Really good burgers and bowls. Great prices and good casual vibes.
Miharu Ice Cream
New sister location of Caroline's favorite ice cream spot! Asian-inspired flavors. Her favorite flavor is the lychee raspberry rose.
Takara Sake USA Inc.
Do a sake tasting and learn how it is made at one of the oldest/largest sake breweries in America! Should probably make a reservation in advance. Can accommodate big groups.
Blue Willow Teaspot
You can do a tea tasting here! Learn how to perfectly steep & re-steep your new favorite teas. Better for small groups of 2 or solo, but you can make a reservation for up to 6 online.
Mezzo
HUGE delicious salads & sandwiches. Eat in their cute outdoor dining area in the back. Great for lunch.
Jupiter
Sit-down restaurant. Mainly pizza & drinks. Rustic, but hip & lively. Occasionally has live music at night.
Nick's Pizza
Sourdough pizza. Their pizzas are so savory and so good. We literally ordered one while writing this up because thinking about it made our mouths water.
Tallboy (BAR)
Caroline's favorite bar in East Bay. You would never know it, but everything here is vegan. Their hot dogs & snacks are to die for. GET A HOT DOG (Caroline's fav is the Lion Dancing Dog). Luke the meat-lover agrees the grub here is AMAZING.
