I will never forget the first day of 6th grade, when my gymnastics buddy welcomed me to my new school district, with a huge brace-faced smile (sporting a full velvet sweatsuit). Since that day, through colleges apart, life events big and small, we have been inseparable. Shae is my second sister. She is family.

Mackenzie has always understood my heart better than anyone. She loves fiercely and is always my biggest supporter. My favorite Harry Potter/The Last Song movie-watcher. Her passion for all that she sets out to do is inspiring. A college teammate and roommate, turned forever-best friend, I am blessed Kenz will be by my side on my wedding day.

Michelle is driven, strong-willed, and extremely kind. Pole vaulting in college was beyond special because my best friend and teammate was by my side daily. Michelle is reliable, and would do anything for me; the fact that I know that with certainty, showcases the kind of person she is. We've shared thousands of laughs. Celebrated accomplishments. We've cried. We hold each other accountable. I'm truly lucky to have Michelle in my life.

I probably spent more time with Nicole in high school than I did with my family. From endless hours at track meets, to car rides to pole vault club practice (karaoke style), we were glued at the hip. I'm so blessed that our friendship has thrived through different colleges, states (AND countries). Nicole is the friend I can always call and pick right back up from where we left off. Her laugh is contagious. I got to watch her marry her best friend in May 2019, and I'm thrilled to have her with me on my wedding day.

Marissa is the friend I can be the silliest with. She is smart, compassionate, and her sense of humor just CLICKS with mine. I'm so fortunate to have strengthened our relationship throughout college, and gained a lifelong friend through track and field. I'm even more excited to have a BFF in the New York City area as we maneuver through adulthood. Marissa is endlessly supportive, and true to herself. I admire her. She is beautiful inside and out, and I couldn't say "I do" without her.

It's crazy that this high schooler is the same little baby I held almost 16 years ago (making me feel so old). Ainsley is beautiful, confident, and kind.
