Castiglioncello is a small coastal town in Tuscany, about 30 minutes south of Livorno and 45 minutes from Pisa. Known as the “Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea,” it has long been a favorite summer getaway for Italians. The town is famous for its dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and a mix of sandy and rocky beaches with crystal-clear water. A beautiful promenade runs along the waterfront, shaded by pine trees and lined with cafés and gelaterias, making it perfect for an evening stroll. Castiglioncello also has a rich cultural history — in the 1960s it became a retreat for Italian artists, writers, and filmmakers, giving it a unique charm that combines seaside relaxation with a touch of old-world glamour. Today, it’s a laid-back but lively town where you can enjoy fresh seafood, explore walking trails along the cliffs, or simply spend the day at a beach club with an aperitivo in hand. When we were looking for a location, Castiglioncello felt like the perfect mix of Tuscan charm and seaside beauty — and we can’t wait to celebrate our wedding there with all of you!
