Shelter Island is known for its natural beauty, hiking, biking, bird-watching and some of the most breathtaking kayaking in Suffolk County. The entire island is approximately 27 square miles. Its central location between the forks of Long Island provides guests the opportunity to easily jump to the South Fork to explore the Hamptons region, or to the North Fork to explore Wine Country.
