It was August 12, 2017 and I was getting ready to go to the Backstreet Boys concert with friends at Wrigley Field. I was planning to move out of my awful Chicago apartment when a relator called me asking if they can stop by with a client for a quick showing. Slightly annoyed, I said yes and let him know I'd be home for it. About a hour later the relator arrived and his client was Javi! I remember he was wearing a light blue button down with the sleeves rolled up. I thought he was SO cute. I of course tried to play it "cool" by not saying anything (lol). I picked up Pepper and I answered any questions the relator had. I remember Javi asked me how much I paid in utilities and that he was moving to Chicago for the first time. I could tell he hated the apartment and rightfully so as it was terrible. The floors were so crooked and it was so old. Soon they both left and that was it. About 5 minutes after they left, I facetimed a friend and told her that I felt like I missed an opportunity with this cute guy that just literally showed up at my doorstep. I told her that I had the relator's phone number since he had called me earlier and I was thinking about reaching out to him to connect me with this mystery man. She encouraged me to do it and I took the leap and did it! I texted the relator and told him to give my number to the cute guy he was with and to tell him I'd be happy to show him around the neighborhood. And the rest is history! ♡ Michelle
I knew that we were going to a fancy restaurant for lunch that was set on the top of a mountain in the Dolomites. To get there, we had to take a ski lift to the top of the mountain. We got onto a ski lift car with a bunch of other skiers. We were the only people not in ski clothing and I didn't think twice about it! Once we got to the top of the mountain, we made our way to the restaurant. We were running a little late for our reservation but when we got there the hostess told us it would just be a few more minutes and that our table wasn't ready. Looking back, I didn't pay any attention to the fact that the restaurant was empty (LOL). So the hostess led us to the balcony and told us we were welcomed to take photos while we waited. We walked out onto the balcony and there was a woman with a big professional camera taking photos of the mountain. I immediately assumed she worked for the restaurant and was taking photos before anyone got onto the balcony. (Because look at that view!) I told Javi that we should move out of her way since she was working and I didn't want to bother her. Javi mentioned he was going to ask the photographer if she wouldn't mind taking a few photos of us and the photographer was so kind and took our photos. Then Javi said "it's time" and although I was quick to respond and say "time for what?" he then told me all the different moments in our relationship where he fell in love with me and knew I was the one. And the rest is history! ♡ Michelle
