How early should I look to rent a home or book a hotel?

Answer

As mentioned in the travel section, our hotels with room blocks cannot be booked until a year prior to the event (July 24, 2020). For homes/condos, there are some available options now, but owners of vacation rentals update their calendars at all different times. The Cape is an extremely popular summer destination and rental availability in peak travel time can be scarce - continue to monitor desired dates.

I have never used VRBO or Airbnb to book a home rental. How do I use it?

Answer

Not a problem at all. As user friendly as these sites are becoming, they can still be confusing! If you run into any problems or have any questions, please contact us directly.

Question

I feel like many of the available rental homes are booked and I’d really like one versus a hotel, what should I do?

Answer

Continue to monitor the rental sites as people cancel all the time for various reasons. Contact us if necessary and we will assist in any way we can. We want you to be very excited about where you’re staying!

Are children allowed?

Answer

As much as we love your children (we really do), we would like to make this weekend an adults only. We want this to be your night off! If you do wish to bring your children, there are many capable sitters in the area on care.com. Thank you for your understanding.

What should I bring that I’m not thinking of?

Answer

We recommend to pack everything necessary for a beach vacation. If you forget something, there are many shops that you can utilize to replace your forgotten item(s) for the time being.

How do I get to and from the reception if I choose to not rent a car?

Answer

There will be a shuttle service available to transport you from the church to the reception. Once we are at the reception, the shuttle will run every hour and take you back to your desired location.

I’ve heard a lot of great things about Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. How do I get there if I would like to make a stop there a part of my vacation?

Answer

There are many different ports that have accessible ferry options to get you to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. The closest option is HyLineCruises.com, a Hyannis based company about ~30 minutes drive from Chatham. From there the travel time varies but does not exceed 1.5 hours.

I am a baseball fan and want to check out the Cape Cod Baseball League. How and where do I get tickets? Does Chatham or Harwich have a team?

Answer

The best thing about Cape Cod baseball aside from the fact that the talent is top tier and that they produce so many major leaguers, is that the games are free! The Chatham Anglers and Harwich Mariners have excellent fields with ample parking and accessibility.

What is the dress code for the ceremony/reception?

Answer

We want to invite everyone to wear Black Tie if you wish although it is absolutely not mandatory.
